This unique exhibition by Ivri Lider, spanning two separate spaces, features a new body of work created over the course of four weeks during September of this year, as Ivri Lider waited for the birth of his son in Alabama. While this is an extremely personal and intimate document, it also touches on social and political themes such as Israel’s surrogacy law and Donald Trump’s America.
The images are printed on white gloss aluminium ChromaLuxe panels so that the colours stand out extra strongly and the details are rendered razor-sharp. Because the images are sublimated on aluminium and almost all of the other works at this photo festival are on paper, they have become fantastic eye-catchers.
Fantasy, Open call
PHOTO IS:RAEL published also an open call for artists to submit works for exhibition at the International Photography Festival. They received over 1000 submissions from artists in 60 countries.
The Open Call is the Festival’s central theme exhibition. While introducing the visitors to dozens of new and excellent artists each year, the exhibition’s selection process also embodies one of the festival’s core values: To breach hierarchies and provide equal opportunities to every artist.
